DomainDraftUpdated 2026-08-05
This is arguably the most valuable folder in the whole repo long-term — it’s the domain fluency a generic software team can’t replicate, and eventually the grounding knowledge the product’s own agents reason over. It’s currently empty on purpose: this needs Kelvin’s actual knowledge, not an outside guess at what NZ automotive compliance looks like.
Pages worth writing here, roughly in priority order:
- Qualification frameworks — what qualifications/certifications exist for NZ automotive technicians, who issues them, how renewal/CPD works.
- WOF and certification rules — what’s actually regulated, at what level (technician vs. business), and what the real audit/enforcement process looks like.
- Complaint-handling norms — what a garage is expected to do today when a customer complains, and what “good” looks like versus what actually happens in practice.
- MTA structure and relationship — how the Motor Trade Association operates, what it currently offers members, and where it sits relative to this idea (partner, channel, or competitive risk).
- Buyer/decision-maker reality — who actually makes a purchasing decision at a small garage, and what actually gets their attention.
One page per topic, plain prose is fine — this doesn’t need to be polished, it needs to be accurate and specific.
